DAILY – on-site tours

September 21–25, 2026

On-site Tours

The conference offers 45 minutes tours at the site of the University Graz related to current and historical topics in physics. There is no extra fee, registration starts at 7th of September. The number of participants is limited. 

Graz Center of Physics

Physics in Graz will move to a new building in the year 2030. The current status of the shell construction and the next steps until completion of the building will be introduced.

The Astronomic Observatory of the University Graz

A brief introduction to the topic of solar physics is offered. In case of clear weather conditions the sun can be observed through the historical refractor. Limited number of participants.

Historical Collection of Physics Instruments

Physics has long tradition in Graz with leading scientists acting as teacher and researcher. Several historical equipment from the 18th, 19th and 20th century will be introduced.
